The 12-02-11 there was a ceremony in the Cemetery of Carabanchel, in the tomb of General , organized by the political party Alianza Nacional. Agustín Muñoz Grandes was the first commander of the Blue Division between 1941 and 1943, and after the war he was vice-president of the Spanish Government and Minister with Francisco Franco several times. After his service with the Blue Division he was decorated by Adolf Hitler himself with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. This ceremony was organized to remember all the Spanish soldiers died in the battle of Krasny Bor and all the fallen and persons still alive of the Blue Division.
Apart from the speech of leader ot the party, Pedro Pablo Peña, there was a short emotive speech by an man that was ex-Blue Divisionary, ex-Blue Legionary (Spanish troops that remained fighting after the Blue Division was officially disbanded), ex-Waffen SS fighter, and captive in a Soviet Gulag till 1954.
